The Midyear International Conference was held as a concrete manifestation of the participation of universities, especially the UNSOED Faculty of Economics and Business, in discussing economic issues based on a scientific perspective. The 3rd Mid-Year International Conference will be held hybrid on 11 July 2024 in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia. The event held by Department of Economics and Development Studies, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED). This conference is MYIC main annual event that promotes the advancement of research across the country. The conference will support networking between academics and decision-makers, as well as candid conversations and debates, knowledge sharing, and approaches to policy formulation. Since its founding, a significant number of academics and decision-makers from various Indonesian institutions have attended the MYIC annual conference. Additionally, MYIC has cultivated a sizable network of scholars and decision-makers interested in regional development challenges. This network has now grown to a significant enough size to be able to influence evidence-based regional development strategies at the local, state, and federal levels in addition to the academic sphere through publishing and research.
The theme of this year’s MYIC is “Towards Golden Indonesia 2045 in the Midst of a Declining Global Economy: Enhancing Sustainable Economic Development Through Human Capital and Technology Advancement”. However, potential topics to be discussed in the conference include, but not limited to:
